Dried out acrylic paint... can it ever be used again?
I am about ready to clean my closet out where I have a lot of stored Acrylic Paint... It seems that some of it is all dried out as the small containers of paint used for art projects were not air tight. The question I have for your is... Have you ever found a way to make dried out Acrylic Paint be usable? If so, how?or am I just going to have to toss it?
Can I use Acrylic paint to paint on clothing? like cotton?
I want to design one of my tshirts. I will probably not be washing it very often, probably never. Do you know if the acrylic paint would fall off by itself without water? I heard they were permanent.

I'm Ready To Burn and More Besides!
I went to my Son's today, together with my Mum, on invite for a Birthday Dinner. My Daughter-In-Law cooked a lovely Roast Pork dinner, with Toffee Pavlova, or Strawberries and Strawberry Milk Jelly for dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and then Lauren brought me a card she'd made. She had written the birthday greeting on the top, and drawn a computer monitor with icons on it, lol, and then she'd cut some dimpled silver paper for a keyboard and placed it underneath, and drawn a black mouse, with a wire leading around to the back of the monitor. "Open it" she said, so I opened it, and down dropped all these coloured streamers she'd cut and taped inside. lol. It was quite clever really.Anyway, she then presented me with a gift, which I duly unwrapped... it was my pyrography pen, in a kit with two leather objects to burn on, and three wooden. There were loads of interchangeable tips... fourteen, I think. So, soon I shall be starting to burn my designs. I'm really looking forward to that. Then Di asked me if I wanted to go to Hobbycraft to spend the £10 voucher, which I did, and Lauren joined us. I did quite well from £10... I found a half-price acrylic paint set, at half...
How To Repair An Old Lamp Table
First, be sure to remove any rust or rough areas by sanding lightly and wiping with a tack cloth. Apply an acrylic paint primer to the metal base and let dry. Follow with a base coat of acrylic paint in your choice of color. You may need to apply two coats. Be sure to let each coat dry thoroughly before adding another layer. You can add decals, decoupaged designs or decorative painting if you like before sealing with a good quality acrylic sealer. Let your beautiful new lamp "cure" for a few days to set the paint and display proudly!

Do You Ever Make Your Own...
.....Halloween decorations? Tonight I finally decided to get off my butt and not be glued to the computer all day and night and start decorating my apartment for Halloween. I still need to decorate the outside of the door and plan to do that either tomorrow or the next day. So after I came home from both doing a bit of grocery shopping and stopping by to visit a friend I got cracking at decorating. Now naturally I have quite a lot of store bought decorations that I've collected over the years, but then I've done some rather cute homemade decorations. One of the simplest I do is to make "ghosties" out of either tissues, paper towels (Bounty works best), and even medium and/or kitchen sized garbage bags. What I do say for the tissues, is take one tissue, then another and cut it in half and crumple it and stuff the center of the other tissue with the crumpled up one..then gather at the top and tie it with either black or orange yarn..then use a marker to make the eyes, nose and mouth. Well I tonight I wanted to hang one of my larger ghosties on my wall, but thought, nuts white and white just would look kind of weird, so wanted a black ghostie for a change, but didn't have...
The simple things in frugality
I am looking through a website with frugal tips and will list a few and then the link to the site at the bottom. Any comments, suggestions, works and don't works for those who have tested it is welcome!Fingernail Polish in the carpet? Well take some fingernail polish remover, not so much and just dab it with a sponge or white towel (I assume so that you can see if it's coming up) I know I never would've thought that'd do the trick!Acrylic paint? Use a number of things. A solution of ammonia, vinegar and water (see site I provide later), or goo off, or vandalism/ graffiti remover, alcohol or vodka!Reuse paper! Well there's many suggestions, most of them revolving and reusing them for notes and such, taking them to schools, just lots... I only read two of them on this site but the possibilites are endless.http://www.thefrugallife.com
